Newly arrived in Kassel

It's late August, and Europe is having a cold spell. I am here in Kassel early, before the Spielzeit begins, so that I can take an intensive German course. The pain of the daily 6.45am alarm is utterly assuaged by getting to wait by this poster at the tram stop each morning. The Theaterfest advertised will be my first concert in Germany, and I have my German debut as 'Dorabella' to look forward to later this autumn. Until then, it's back to school for me!
